Disasters
inevitably occur both back stage and on stage. The audience is more often than
not oblivious to these crises …
"A
WARM HAND ON YOUR OPENING …!" is an intimate, amusing, anecdotal revue
which exposes, by way of comedy and song, the horrors and catastrophes that
have befallen hapless performers on opening nights. All the tales are
absolutely true and cover a huge range of disasters. Operas, plays and musicals
are all here with tales from some of the worlds best loved shows. My Fair Lady,
Hamlet and Tosca rub shoulders with Othello, Carmen, The Sound of Music and
Macbeth.
Anthony
Stonier, known throughout KZN for his superb voice and sharp wit, presents this
brand new take on supper theatre and musical revue, giving it a fresh, fun
feel. The show is directed by Lisa Bobbert who brings her madcap ideas to the
production.
