An elegant tribute to the art form of cabaret using the traditional style of this genre, popularised in the Thirties and still in evidence the world over today.

Carol Trench, well loved and renowned for her phenomenal voice,  and Anthony Stonier (Best Male Vocalist Award 2002 and 2003) team up for the first time in three years (remember the popular show LET’S MISBEHAVE …)  with splendid accompaniment from award winning pianist and musical director Evan Roberts, with Tom Hare on  trumpet saxophone and flute. To bring this slice of life to you they have selected the music and lyrics of John Kander and Fred Ebb. These musical theatre giants may not be household names to the extent of Rogers and Hammerstein, however,  their canon of music includes such well known songs as Cabaret, New York New York, Maybe this Time, City Lights, Razzle Dazzle and All That Jazz to name but a few.

The recurring phrase in the popular song Cabaret that makes the title of this show holds a fundamental truth both in real life and on a cabaret stage. Cabaret traditionally looks at real life, the ups and downs, loves and losses and comments on them satirically or realistically in song.
