Anthony Stonier and Karen Cambell-Gillies unite once more for an evening of laid
back, casual entertainment. Over the past few years they have performed
together several times, always combining elegance, charm, quick wit and style
in their presentation and choice of music.
This soiree once again highlights the great variety of their skills with
Karen concentrating on the light pop for which her voice is so ideally suited
and Anthony singing the big show numbers for which he is
famous, and for which he won the Best Male Vocalist Award for 2005 at the
Durban Theatre Awards. Some
Beatles, some Bassey, some Elvis … all done in an
unexpected way! This soiree is called
DÉJÀ VU ….
DEJA VU ... That
peculiar feeling that you have been somewhere, seen something or
heard something before. An informal revue that embraces songs that are not
heard every day yet the minute you hear them you know them! Performed and
devised by Anthony Stonier and Karen Campbell-Gillies. These are some of those
songs that you hear now and then, you don’t know just where and you don’t know
just when! Some of those songs that you hear for a while that go out of fashion
then come back in style! Some of those songs that you think you forgot but some
of those songs you cannot!
