You name
them…..he’s done them!
Nat King Cole,
Bing Crosby, Cliff Richard, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Liberace, Satchmo,
Ella, to name but a few and now
Colin Penn introduces us to Tom Jones and
Johnny Mathis.
I stick to this era because the songs are really great and everyone
knows them. Just look at the songs…Delilah, It’s not unusual, Just help
yourself, Green green grass of home, Lonely is a man without love, That’s what
friends are for, Misty, A Certain Smile, If, Over the rainbow, More, Cheek to
cheek and many more. How can you go wrong? Two hours of pleasurable nostalgia!
As usual Colin Penn and his Pennants wisecrack their way through the
show whilst providing very professional backing to this shows two singers….
The very talented Gino Veronie and a new kid on the block but no
less talented, Kobus van Niekerk.
Come and listen to the sex machine in concert with the Prince of
Smooth backed by Durban’s best loved backing band. The fact that Tom Jones and
Johnny Mathis are still performing live after 40 years in show business
indicates their enormous popularity throughout the world. This is a meeting of
the ‘hot’ rock and roll numbers that had us combing our ducktails and looking
for our stiff petticoats and the soft ballads that had us fighting for the back
seat of the Studebaker.
Backed by Colin Penn and his
Pennants.
You won’t want to miss this show, whatever your age.
DO NOT MISS OUT.
