Centrefold, well known for their shows The 60’s Revisited, Gentle On My Mind and Christmas Without Boney-M, once again show their versatility with their new production “Girls Luv 2 Rock”, a tribute to four decades of power and glam rock.

Let us take you back to the era of leather pants, velvet jackets and big hair with an hour and a half of some of the best Rock Anthems and Rock Ballads of our time

The latter part of the 60’s saw the emergence of Power Rock with bands like Steppenwolf who went into the charts with their hit Born To Be Wild.

Deep Purple blasted on to the stage during the early 70’s with what was to become one of the most famous guitar riffs of all time in Smoke On the Water.  Santana’s Black Magic Woman and Toto’s Hold the Line also represent this decade.

However, the decade really noted for power rock, was the 80’s.  Bands like Def Leppard, U2, and Journey were making their mark and let’s not forget the female artists. Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks (of Fleetwood Mac fame) and Alannah Myles. Her debut album took the world charts by storm, featuring the single Black Velvet.

As we moved into the 90’s and techno, hip hop and house started to rule the dance floors, new rock bands still became stars.  Bon Jovi reached sales of over 1 million albums and we pay tribute with Have a Nice Day and Bed of Roses.  Anastasia’s I’m Outta Love hit the airwaves climbing the charts, proving that rock was alive and well.

Paul Candow, rock guitarist of note, will be using an imported Ibanez 7 string Steve Vai patent guitar.    He impresses with his guitar solos in Final Countdown, Smoke on the Water and Black Magic Woman.  The powerful vocal talents of Jane, Cheryl and Belinda complete the line up of Centrefold.
