Due to an unexpected retract= ion requested from Borge Productions Inc., Jonathan= Roxmouth’s one man show, BACK TO BORGE will not= be able to tour to Durban as advertised earlier this month. However, Jonathan Ro= xmouth will still be coming to Durban's Rhumbelow Theatre from the 22nd to the 24th January as well as the 29th to 31st January with his new show entitled &quo= t;IN BLACK & WHITE".

In it, Jonathan Roxmouth shares a personal semi-biographical take on showbiz life with the audience through songs, sketches and backstage stories that have held special significance for him. The programme is jam-packed wi= th dazzling piano prowess, a vocal tour de farce in his "Phantom Of The O= pera in 10 Minutes" and "Performer's Pandemonium" as well as hysterical antics inspired by Tom Lehrer, Peter Sellers, Ronnie Barker and Rowan Atkinson. With songs like "Being Alive", "Without A Song" and "On the Boards", Jonathan shares his triumphs, flo= ps and dreams with the audience. All of these culminate in an evening of no ho= lds barred entertainment in it's purest form from on= e of South Africa's leading stage performers.

BACK TO BORGE

Armed with nothing but a gra= nd piano and an irreverent sense of humour, Jonathan Roxm= outh (Naledi Award-Winning star of Beauty and the Be= ast, Rock Me Amadeus and A Handful of Keys) takes the audience on a laugh-a-minu= te marathon through the wacky world of famous Danish Pianist and Comedian Vict= or Borge in his brand new one-man show, BACK TO BORGE. <= o:p>

Infusing his own style into classic Borge sketches such as Inflationary Lan= guage and Phonetic Punctuation, Jonathan picks up from where Borge left off and goes off on a tangent with some hysterical new material of his own. Add to that some dazzling pianistic prowess with music from Rachmanino= ff to Paul Simon and a vocal tour de force in his own “Phantom of the Op= era in 10 Minutes” and you have an evening guaranteed to make you laugh o= ut loud! and fresh.
